Economic sociology

Economic sociology is a branch of sociology that looks at how economics affects people and their everyday lives. It looks at how money affects our relationships with friends, family and co-workers, as well as how economic policies shape our societies. Economic sociology also looks to see how people in different economic circumstances experience life differently—including how poverty and financial security affect people’s behavior, beliefs, and emotions.
