Edge-localized mode

Okay kiddo, so let me tell you about edge-localized mode. You know how everything in the world wants to be in balance? Well, this is also true for something called plasma, which is like super hot gas that's found in things like stars and some machines here on earth.

So basically, an edge-localized mode is when plasma gets a little bit too excited and starts to move around too much. It's like a balloon that's too full and starts to bounce all over the place. But scientists are working to keep it under control!
