Editing

Hi there little one! Today we're going to talk about something called "editing". Editing is when you take something that someone wrote or made and make it better.

Let's imagine you drew a picture of a dog. Editing your picture would mean if someone looked at it and said "what a nice drawing, but I see you forgot to color the dog's ears," you would go back and color the ears in.

Now, let's say someone wrote a story about a magical princess who lives in a castle. Editing their story would mean reading it and saying "I really liked your story, but I noticed you used the word 'princess' too many times. Let's try and use a different word like 'queen' or 'royalty' instead."

Editing can make things better by fixing mistakes or making something clearer. Whether it's a drawing or a story, editing can help it be the best it can be!
