ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Educational aims and objectives

Okay kiddo, so educational aims and objectives are kind of like a map or a plan that teachers use to help their students learn new things.

An aim is like the big picture goal of what the teacher wants the students to learn, and a objective is like a smaller step or task needed to achieve that bigger goal.

For example, let's say the aim is for students to be able to read and understand a story on their own. The objectives might be to learn new vocabulary words, practice reading aloud, and answer questions about the story.

The teacher will use these aims and objectives to guide their lesson plans and make sure that each day the students are working towards that bigger goal of being able to read and understand on their own.

Does that make sense, little one?
