ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Egypt–Israel peace treaty

Okay, kiddo, so a very long time ago, there were some people called Egyptians and some people called Israelis who didn't always get along very well. They had some fights and arguments about who should live where and who should be in charge of things. But then one day, they decided to try and be friends instead.

They made something called a peace treaty. That's like a really important promise that they wouldn't yell at each other or fight anymore. They even made it official by signing papers and having lots of people watch them do it.

Now, this peace treaty didn't just magically make everything okay between the Egyptians and the Israelis. It took a lot of hard work and patience, like when you and your friend stop being mad at each other and try to play nicely together again. But over time, they learned to understand each other better and found ways to work together.

So now, they are still friendly with each other even though they still have some different beliefs and ways of doing things. But that's okay because they made a promise to always try and talk things out and be peaceful.
