ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Eidetic memory

Eidetic memory is like having a superpower to remember things really, really well. When you see something, like a picture or a book page, your brain takes a "snap shot" of it and can hold on to that image for a long time. Usually, people's memory fades over time as they forget things they've seen or heard, but with eidetic memory, you can remember almost everything like it happened just yesterday. It's kind of like having a camera in your brain! However, it's important to note that not everyone has the ability to have eidetic memory, and it's not something that can be learned or taught.
