Einstein field equations

The Einstein Field Equations are equations written by the scientist Albert Einstein to explain how gravity works. He said that gravity is a result of the shape of space and time around huge objects like stars and planets. Einstein said that matter (stuff like planets, stars, and people) warps space-time around itself much like how a heavy bowling ball will make a dip in the middle of a trampoline. The Einstein Field Equations are equations that describe this warping of space-time around matter. These equations help explain all sorts of things, like why the planets keep spinning around the sun and why apples fall out of trees here on Earth.
