ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Electrical fault

Have you ever played with a toy that suddenly stopped working even though you put new batteries in it? That's kind of like an electrical fault.

You know how your body has a lot of different parts that need to work together to keep you healthy? It’s the same with machines that use electricity. There are a bunch of part inside of them that need to work together to keep them running.

Sometimes, one of those parts can get broken or stop working for some reason. This can cause something called an electrical fault. It's kind of like when you put the wrong puzzle pieces together, and nothing works the way it's supposed to.

When this happens, the electricity in the machine can't flow properly, and it can cause problems like the machine getting really hot or even starting a fire. It's important to fix electrical faults quickly and by someone who knows how to do it, so they don't become bigger or cause more problems.
