ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Fault (technology)

Okay, so imagine you're playing a game with blocks. You have to stack them up in a certain way to win the game. But sometimes, the blocks don't fit together right and the tower falls down. This is kind of like a fault in technology.

In real life, technology is complicated machines that do all sorts of tasks. Just like your tower of blocks, sometimes things don't fit together quite right or something goes wrong and the technology stops working properly. This is called a fault.

Sometimes, faults happen because the technology is too old or gets worn out. Other times, they happen because someone made a mistake or something unexpected happens. When a fault happens, experts have to figure out what went wrong and fix it, just like you have to figure out how to stack your blocks better so they don't fall down.

It's important to fix faults quickly, because if machines and technology aren't working properly, it can cause problems for lots of people. But with the help of experts, faults can be fixed and technology can keep working smoothly.
