Embroidery

Embroidery is a way of decorating clothes or fabric by sewing designs onto them with pretty thread. Picture your favorite shirt or sweater - now imagine if someone used a needle and thread to sew a pretty flower or a cool design onto it. That's embroidery!

First, you need a special needle and a hoop to hold your fabric tight. You pick out the colors of thread you want to use, and then you make a fun design on paper to follow. You put the fabric in the hoop, tighten it up so it's nice and flat, and then start sewing your design onto it.

It can take a long time to do embroidery because you need to be careful and pay close attention to each stitch you make. But when you're done, you'll have a really cool piece of clothing or art that no one else has - because you made it yourself!
