ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Enculturation

Enculturation is when someone learns the customs, habits, beliefs, and language of the culture around them. It's kind of like growing up with a certain culture. For example, if you are born and raised in the United States, you might have been taught American customs and culture, like speaking English, celebrating holidays like July 4th, and eating foods like hamburgers and hot dogs. That's enculturation - learning the culture around you.
