ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Enthronement

Enthronement is like when you sit on a special chair called a throne. It's kind of like being a king or a queen, because the throne is different from regular chairs and it's usually fancy and decorated with gold or jewels.

When someone gets enthroned, it means they are officially taking on a new important role or position. For example, a new king or queen would get enthroned to start ruling their kingdom. Or a new pope might get enthroned to lead the Catholic Church.

Enthronement is often a big ceremony with lots of people watching and cheering. The person getting enthroned might wear special clothes or a crown, and they might say prayers or give speeches to show that they are ready to take on their new responsibilities. It's a really important moment for the person and for the people who will be affected by their leadership.
