Episcopal see

An Episcopal See is like a special place where a bishop (the leader of a group of churches) hangs out and does his important bishop-y work. This special place is usually a cathedral (a really special church), where the bishop has his throne (a fancy chair) and does things like perform sacraments (important religious ceremonies) and preach to the people.

It's also important to know that the bishop has authority over the churches in his area, called a diocese. So, for example, if you're part of St. Mary's church, your bishop is the one hanging out at the Episcopal See and making important decisions for your church and the others in your area.
