Equality (mathematics)

Equality in mathematics means that two things are the same. For example, if you have 2+2, that equals 4. 2+2 is equal to 4, so the equation is equal. Equality in math is like when you and a friend each have eleven pieces of candy and you decide to split them so that you each have an equal number. Now both of you have the same number of pieces, 11 pieces each - this is equality.
