ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Espasol

Espasol is a yummy Filipino dessert that comes in the form of a small, cylindrical cake. It's made from rice flour, coconut milk and sugar, and is often coated with toasted rice flour or coconut flakes.

To make espasol, grown-ups first mix together the rice flour, coconut milk and sugar until it turns into a dough. Then they shape it into little logs and roll each one in toasted rice flour or coconut flakes, which makes it yummy and crunchy on the outside.

Inside, there's a soft, chewy texture that tastes a bit like coconut and reminds you of the beach. It's easy to eat and perfect for snacking, but since it has sugar in it, it's best to enjoy it as a special treat once in a while.
