ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Esri

Esri is like a big computer tool that helps people make maps about the world around us. You know how we use Google Maps to see where we are and where we want to go? Well, Esri does a bunch of things like that, but it's more powerful and can do many more things.

It's like a box filled with tools, but instead of hammers and wrenches, it has special kinds of computer programs that can show us where things are, how they're connected, and how they change over time.

Some people use Esri to make maps of cities, countries, or even our whole planet. Others use it to keep track of animal habitats, weather patterns, or how much pollution there is in the air.

Esri works by gathering lots of information about the world, like where rivers and mountains are, where people live and work, where different kinds of plants grow, and many other things. It puts all of this information together in a way that makes it easy for us to understand and use.

So basically, Esri is like a really smart computer tool that helps us see and understand our world better!
