Ethereum is like a computer made out of many computers connected to the internet. It runs programs called 'smart contracts' that help people and businesses exchange money, property, shares, or anything of value in a transparent, conflict-free way while avoiding the use of a middleman. It makes it easier and faster to do certain kinds of transactions.
