Even-Rodeh coding

Even-rodeh coding is a type of code used to create a message that has extra bits added to it in order to help fix any mistakes that might happen when sending the message. Imagine you wanted to send a letter to your friend. You write the letter and put it in an envelope. But what if the envelope gets torn or lost? Or what if your friend misreads a word you wrote? To avoid this, you might write the letter again and make a copy in case something happens to the original. This is a bit like what even-rodeh coding does. It creates extra bits of information that act like a backup copy of the original message, so if something happens to the original message during transmission, there is still a way to recover it. This type of coding is used in things like computer networks and satellite communication to help make sure that the information being sent is accurate and reliable.
