Exocomet

Exocomets are comets that orbit stars other than our Sun. They are like the comets in our Solar System but they orbit distant stars. Exocomets contain a lot of ice and dust, much like comets in our Solar System. When a star's gravity pulls the comet towards it, the ice and dust gets heated up and causes a glowing effect around the star, which is called a comet tail. This can be seen by powerful telescopes and helps scientists learn more about the star and the exocomets that orbit it.
