ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

External world skepticism

External world skepticism is a way of thinking that questions whether the world outside of us actually exists. It's like trying to figure out if the things that we can see, hear, touch, smell, and taste actually exist, or if they're just tricks our minds are playing on us. It's hard to say for sure. People have different opinions about whether the external world really exists, and this leads to arguments and debates that can be complicated to understand.
