Extinction symbol

Extinction symbol is a picture of a crossed out circle with a line going through it. It is used to show that something is no longer here, or has become extinct. The extinction symbol often stands for animals and plants that were around but are now gone forever. Animals or plants that are at risk of becoming extinct are given the extinction symbol to remind people that they need to be saved from dying out.
