Faculty of Advocates

Okay, so when people go to court, they need a lawyer or a person who knows a lot about the law and can help them understand it. In Scotland, there is a group of lawyers who are extra special at this called the Faculty of Advocates.

Think of them like superheroes who wear special robes and have lots of experience and knowledge about the law. They help people who need them, just like superheroes help people in trouble.

The Faculty of Advocates does lots of important things. They go to court to help their clients argue their case and explain things to the judge and jury. They also help people write legal documents, like contracts or wills, to make sure everything is fair and legal.

It takes a lot of hard work to become a member of the Faculty of Advocates. First, you have to study law in university for several years, just like how kids go to school for many years. Then, you have to work as a lawyer for a few years to get lots of experience. After that, you can apply to become a member of the Faculty of Advocates.

So, the Faculty of Advocates are a group of very smart and experienced lawyers in Scotland who help people with legal problems.
