Faster-than-light communication

Faster-than-light communication is communication that is faster than the speed of light. The speed of light is how long it takes light (which is very fast) to travel a certain distance, like from one planet to another. With faster-than-light communication, it would be possible to communicate between two planets or other distant places much faster than the speed of light. This means that instead of someone on one planet having to wait a long time for a message to get to the other planet, it would happen almost instantly.
