Feature extraction

Feature extraction is a way of breaking down a piece of data/information into smaller parts so that it can be better understood. It is like taking a puzzle, and instead of looking at it as one big image, we break it into its individual pieces and then reassemble them. Some examples of feature extraction are removing background noise from an audio recording or splitting an image into its separate color components.
