Fecundity

Fecundity is a scientific word that means the ability of an animal or plant to have babies. It's used to refer to how many babies an animal or plant can have at one time. For example, some animals like cats are very fecund, which means they can have lots of kittens at once. Other animals, like owls, are not very fecund, so they can only have a few babies at once. Plants can also be fecund, meaning they can produce a lot of seeds or fruits to reproduce.
