Federal Duck Stamp

A federal duck stamp is a little piece of paper that grown-ups buy to help ducks. It's like a really special sticker that lets you go duck watching and hunting in parks where the grown-ups take care of the ducks.

Every year, different grown-ups get to make pretty paintings of ducks and the people who take care of the parks choose the best one. Then, they print those pictures on the special sticker and sell them to other grown-ups to help take better care of the ducks.

So, when you see someone with a federal duck stamp, you know they care a lot about ducks and want to make sure they have a safe place to live. Plus, they get to go see the ducks up close and take pictures, and even hunt them if they follow the rules and don't hurt too many.
