Female slavery in the United States

Female slavery in the United States was when women, both Black and White, were forced to work without pay, doing things like cleaning, cooking and even picking cotton. They were treated like property and did not have rights. Many families were split up when some members were sold to another owner. This happened a long time ago, but it's still important to learn about because it was a bad thing that we don't want to see happening again.
