ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Field (geography)

A field is a big open space where plants grow. Imagine your backyard, but much much bigger. A field can be full of flowers, fruits, or vegetables. Some fields have tall corn or wheat, while others have small strawberries or blueberries. Fields can also have animals that eat the plants, like cows or sheep. People can use what grows in the field to make food or clothes or even medicine. Fields are important because they help us get the things we need to live.
