ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

File browser

Okay, so do you remember when we went to the park and saw all the different toys there? And we had to look around to find the exact toy we wanted to play with? Looking for files on a computer is kind of like that.

A file browser is the tool on a computer that helps us find and organize all the different files we have stored. Just like the different toys at the park, we have all different kinds of files on our computer, like pictures, documents, and music.

The file browser shows us all the different folders and files we have on our computer, kind of like the map of the park that shows us where all the different parts of the park are. It lets us browse through and open different folders to find the exact file we want, just like when we were searching for our favorite toy at the park.

We can also use the file browser to move files around, just like when we picked up the toy we wanted and took it to the area where we wanted to play. This helps us keep all our different files organized and makes it easier to find them again later.

So, a file browser is basically like a map of all the files on our computer that helps us find and organize them, just like how we searched for and organized the different toys at the park.
