Finding aid

A finding aid is like a big map that helps you find things in a library or archive. Just like how you need a map to find your way when you go on a hike or visit a new place, researchers need a finding aid to help them find the information they need.

The finding aid tells you where to find specific items and how they are organized. For example, if you want to find a specific book, the finding aid will tell you which shelf it is on. If you want to see all the letters a famous person wrote, the finding aid will tell you where those letters are kept and how to access them.

There are different types of finding aids, depending on the type of information you are looking for. Some may be online, and others may be physical documents that you can touch and flip through. Regardless of the format, all finding aids are designed to help you find what you're looking for and make your research easier!
