ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Fine press

Okay kiddo, so you know when you like to draw or color with markers or crayons, right? And sometimes when you press down really hard, the colors get more intense and the picture looks nicer? That's kind of like what fine press is.

But instead of drawing or coloring, people use big machines called printing presses to make books or posters or other things. And with fine press, they use special paper and ink and they press down really hard, just like you do when you're coloring.

This makes the colors look very bright and the letters very clear and easy to read. It's kind of like magic, because the print looks so nice and fancy.

Fine press is often used for making fancy books or limited edition posters that people collect and show off. It's like having a really special drawing or coloring book that you never want to color in because it's too pretty.
