ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Fine print

Fine print is the little writing that you sometimes see at the bottom of a paper or on a website that tells you important things about what you are buying or agreeing to. It's like a secret message that grown-ups use to tell you what you need to know. It can be really hard to read because it is usually very small and squished together, like the letters on the back of a cereal box. This is why it's important to ask a grown-up to help you read it if you don't understand what it says. Fine print can tell you things like how much something costs, how long it will last, and if there are any rules you need to follow. So remember, if you want to know all the important details about something, make sure you read the fine print carefully!
