Fingerprint

A fingerprint is like a special type of pattern found on the skin that covers the ends of your fingers. Everyone's fingerprints are different, so it's like a way for people to identify who someone is. Fingerprints can be used to unlock phones and other devices, and can be used a lot to help detectives find out who committed certain crimes. Everyone has their own special pattern of ridges and lines on the tips of their fingers and this is how they know what the fingerprint is from one person to another.
