The Finite Element Method (FEM) is a way of finding solutions to problems that involves numbers and shapes. First, you divide your shape into a bunch of small pieces, or "elements", and then you figure out how each of these elements affects the overall shape. Then, you take all of the effects from all of the pieces and combine them together to get a complete answer. This method is used in many fields, such as engineering, to find the safest and most efficient designs.
