Fire-resistance rating

Fire-resistance rating is a way of measuring how well something can withstand a fire. It tells us how much heat and flames the material can take before it starts to burn or melt away. It is measured in hours, like 30 minutes, 1 hour, 2 hours, etc. A material with a higher fire-resistance rating can last in a very hot fire for longer before starting to burn or melt.
