First language

Your first language is the language that you learn to speak when you are a baby. It's the language that your mommy and daddy speak to you, and you try to copy the sounds they make. As you grow up, you learn more and more words and how to put them together to make sentences. Your first language is usually the language that you feel most comfortable speaking and the one that you understand the best.
