Alright kiddo, fishing techniques are ways of catching fish. There are different ways to do this because different fish live in different places and eat different things.
One way is to use a fishing rod with a hook and bait. This is called “angling”. You put the bait on the hook and throw it into the water. You wait for a fish to bite and then you pull the rod and the fish comes out of the water. You need to be patient and quiet to catch fish this way.
Another way is called “netting”. This is when you use a special net to catch fish in the water. The net is usually very long and has weights on the bottom to make it sink. You throw the net into the water and then pull it back in. Hopefully, there will be fish in the net!
Another technique is called “trapping”. This is when you set a trap in the water to catch fish. The trap can be a basket or a box that has an opening for the fish to swim in. Once the fish are in the trap, they can’t get out and you can catch them. You need to check the trap regularly to see if any fish are caught.
Lastly, there is “spearfishing”. This is like hunting but in the water. You use a long spear to catch fish. The spearhead is very sharp so you need to be very careful when using it. You have to be a really good swimmer and be able to hold your breath for a long time to catch fish this way.
So, those are some of the different ways to catch fish. You can choose which one you like best and give it a try!
