Fixed stars

Fixed stars are stars that are so far away from Earth that they appear to stay in the same place in the night sky. We see them twinkle because the Earth's atmosphere makes their light look like it's bouncing around. We can't move closer to them, so they stay fixed in the same place - like stars on a piece of paper!
