Floating island

Okay kiddo, have you ever seen a piece of paper floating on the water? Imagine that, now imagine a big piece of land floating on the water, that's what a floating island is.

But how does it work? Well, floating islands are usually made up of layers and layers of plants and soil. These layers help the island stay afloat on the water.

But why do we need floating islands? These islands can provide homes for plants, animals, and sometimes even people! Floating islands also help clean the water by absorbing pollutants and excess nutrients in the water.

So just like your rubber ducky can float on the water, a floating island can too!
