Floriculture

Floriculture is a fancy word for growing flowers. Just like how you can grow veggies in your garden, people grow flowers to sell or to enjoy themselves. People who grow flowers can grow them in a garden or in a special place called a greenhouse.

Greenhouses are like giant rooms where flowers can grow even when it's cold outside. This is because the greenhouse traps warmth from the sun and helps the flowers grow even in the winter.

Flowers are grown for lots of reasons. Sometimes, people just want to enjoy pretty flowers in their homes or gardens. Other times, flowers are grown to sell to people who want to buy them as gifts or decorations. Some flowers are grown just for their pretty smell, like lavender or lilacs.

Growing flowers takes a lot of work and care. It's kind of like how you take care of a pet. You have to make sure the flowers have enough water and sunlight. You also need to protect them from bugs and other things that might hurt them.

Once the flowers are fully grown, they can be picked and sold. People might buy them as a gift for a friend or for a special event like a wedding or party. Or, they might buy them to decorate their own home or office.

Flowers are pretty and can make people happy. And floriculture is all about growing them and sharing their beauty with others!
