Fluid ounce

Okay, so you know how we usually measure things in cups or spoons when we cook or bake? Well, sometimes we need to be more precise and measure really small amounts of liquid. That's where fluid ounces come in!

A fluid ounce is like a tiny cup that holds liquids. It's a way to measure how much liquid there is, just like we measure how much flour or sugar there is with cups or tablespoons.

One fluid ounce is about the same as two tablespoons. So, if you need to measure out one fluid ounce of milk for a recipe, you would use a measuring cup or spoon that says "1 fl oz" on it, and fill it up with milk until it reaches the top.

It's important to use a measuring tool when measuring fluid ounces, because different types of liquids can have different weights and densities, which can affect how much fits in a cup or spoon. So, measuring things out precisely helps us make sure our recipe turns out yummy!
