Folk rock

Folk rock is a type of music that combines two other types of music: folk music and rock music. Folk music is like the music that people play at campfires or during storytelling. It often includes acoustic instruments like guitars, fiddles, and banjos. Rock music, on the other hand, is usually louder and includes electric instruments like the guitar and drums.

When folk music and rock music come together, it makes folk rock! It's like if you took a banana and mixed it with peanut butter to make a new kind of snack called a banana-peanut butter sandwich.

Folk rock music usually has lyrics that tell stories or talk about important issues like love, politics, or social justice. Many famous folk rock musicians like Bob Dylan, Joan Baez, and Joni Mitchell started making music in the 1960s and 1970s. People still make folk rock music today too!
