ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Forest kindergarten

Imagine going to school in a special place called a forest where you can learn and play outside in nature all day! That's called a forest kindergarten. It's like a regular school, but instead of a classroom, you have the whole forest as your playground and classroom.

In forest kindergarten, you'll see plenty of trees, plants, and animals all around you. You'll learn about them by observing, touching, smelling, and listening to them. You might even make some new animal friends!

Every day, you'll go on nature walks and hikes, exploring new areas and looking for things like bugs, birds, and colorful flowers. You'll play games, build forts using sticks and branches, and create art projects using things you find in the forest, like leaves, flowers, and rocks.

Even when it's raining, you'll still go outside to play and learn. Your teacher will make sure to dress you up in special rain gear, like raincoats and boots, to keep you dry and warm.

In a forest kindergarten, you'll also learn important life skills like teamwork, problem-solving, and independence. You'll learn how to make your own snacks and lunches using outdoor cooking equipment, and you'll also learn how to take care of the environment by picking up litter and recycling.

So, if you love being outside and learning about nature, then a forest kindergarten might be the perfect place for you to go to school!
