Formosa Expedition

The Formosa Expedition was a big trip that some people took a long time ago, before you were born. Formosa is what we call Taiwan now, so it was a journey to Taiwan.

The people who went on the Formosa Expedition were from a country called the Netherlands. They wanted to learn more about Taiwan and explore it. They had ships that they used to travel across the sea to get there.

When they arrived in Taiwan, they saw lots of interesting things. They met some of the people who lived there, and they saw some cool buildings and plants and animals that they had never seen before.

The people on the Formosa Expedition stayed in Taiwan for a while and explored different parts of the island. They also went to some other nearby places and learned new things about them.

Overall, the Formosa Expedition was an important trip because it helped people from the Netherlands learn more about Taiwan and the world around them.
