Formosan languages

Okay kiddo, so you know when people talk to you in different languages? Well, there are lots of different languages in the world, and some of them come from a place called Formosa. Formosa is an island in Asia, and long ago, there were people who lived there and spoke different languages.

Now, these languages are called Formosan languages because they came from the people who lived on Formosa. They didn't all speak the same language, just like how you might speak English and your friend speaks Spanish. But even though they were different, they were all called Formosan because they came from the same island.

Some of these languages are still spoken today, by people who live on Formosa or in other parts of the world. Just like how some people still speak Spanish or Chinese or French. It's pretty cool that there are so many different languages in the world, isn't it?
