Fortifications of Rhodes

The towers were also really important. They were big buildings that went up really high. From up there, guards could see everything that's happening around the city. If they saw any bad guys trying to come in, they'd blow a horn to warn the other guards.
The people of Rhodes built these fortifications so well that they kept their city safe for a long time. But eventually, some bad guys called the Ottomans came and attacked Rhodes. They tried to break down the walls and towers, but they didn't succeed.
