Fossil fuels

Fossil fuels are energy sources that come from the ground. They are made from plants, animals and other living things that died millions of years ago and formed into something that we can use to make energy. We use fossil fuels to make things like electricity and to power cars and planes. They are non-renewable energy sources which means that once they are gone, they cannot be replaced.
