Fourth Amendment to the United States Constitution

The Fourth Amendment to the United States Constitution protects your right to privacy. It says that the government cannot search or seize your property without a good reason. This means that the police, for example, need a warrant from a judge before they can search your house or take something from you. This amendment is important because it keeps the government from invading your privacy and prevents them from taking away your things without a good reason.
