Frequency response is the way a machine or device responds to different levels of sound or light that it's exposed to. Its like how your ears respond differently to different sounds. For example, your ears may be able to pick up very loud sounds better than very soft ones. Frequency response means that machines can pick up and respond to different levels of sound or light in different ways.
