Fuel injection

Imagine you have a toy car that you want to make go faster. One way to make it go faster is to make sure it has enough fuel to run. In a real car, fuel is what makes the engine work.

Fuel injection is how a car gets fuel to the engine. Instead of pouring fuel into the engine like you might pour water into a cup, fuel injection uses a special system to squirt fuel into the engine.

When you start a car with fuel injection, the fuel goes from the gas tank to a special part of the engine called an injector. This injector is like a little computer that knows exactly how much fuel the engine needs at any given time. The injector then sprays just the right amount of fuel into the engine so the car can run.

This method of fuel delivery is much more precise than older methods. It makes sure the car has just enough fuel for the engine to work properly, which can lead to better performance, better gas mileage, and lower pollution.
